Week 1 Out of Class

Week 1B

Today in class we began to learn the basics of html coding. Most of it was information I had learned last semester but it was very nice to have a little refresher since we had only scratched the surface last semester and I had forgotten most of it over the summer. For our homework we are coding our own little website about a place that we would like to visit. I chose to make my website about Alaska. So far I have done most of the coding which we are required to do. I made different sections about different things such as things to do in Alaska and places to stay and I added photos. I still need to add in a link to another website. Below I have attached photos of my code and what the actual website looks like.

Week 1A

Yesterday was the first day of class. Professor Pannafino introduced us to the course, we went over the syllabus and he explained to us what will be expected of us. This class is slightly different than the ones I had last year because we will not be using D2L but instead we will share everything on Google Docs and on this blog. I am very excited to start learning more about coding and web design and I can't wait to start our first project! I think this is going to be a challenging but fun class!
